A seven-minute routine

The glow, lit from within.

For the days you want to look rested and lit from within. The trick is not more shimmer. It is putting light exactly where light would land, and giving it something soft to sit beside.

What you need

  • Lip + Cheek in a sheer rose or berry.
  • A light Highlight for the high points.
  • Contour in a soft shade, a touch deeper than your skin.
  • Balm or an illuminator for a dewy finish, if you have one.

Step by step

  1. A sheer flush. Tap Lip + Cheek where you naturally flush, then blend it until it looks like it came from the inside.
  2. Light on the high points. Your light Highlight on the cheekbones, the brow bone and the center of the forehead.
  3. A soft dark. A whisper of Contour under the cheekbone and along the hairline gives the light somewhere to land.
  4. The finish. Pat balm or illuminator on the top of the cheekbone and on your lips. Skip powder, or use only a touch where you shine.

Why it works

Glow is contrast. Light only reads as glow when there is a soft shadow next to it, which is why a little Contour makes the highlight look brighter, not heavier.
