Why skincare matters for cream makeup
Cream makeup is only as smooth as the skin under it. On dry skin, cream can drag and cling to dry patches. On skin that has had its moisturizer and a few minutes to soak it in, it melts right in and looks like skin. It is the one step I tell every new client not to skip, and it is the heart of my switching guide.
How I would use it
This follows the order on Seint’s own routine card: cleanser, then oil when you use it, then moisturizer, with the roller and gua sha as extras.
Morning
- Wash with the Constellation Cleanser.
- Smooth on the Minimalist Moisturizer, then wait a few minutes.
- If you like, roll the chilled Holy Roller over your skin.
- Then start with the color: Lip + Cheek and contour first, base last and only where you want it.
Night
- Take your makeup off first. For cream makeup, I like a gentle oil or balm before cleansing.
- Wash with the Constellation Cleanser.
- Press in a few drops of Blue Moon Oil. A few nights a week, add some slow strokes with the Gua Sha Stone.
- Finish with the Minimalist Moisturizer.
